Begin as intern in Up - First thoughts of Théo Brachet
Warmly welcomed by Up Hellas, my 5-month internship in Greece has begun.
As a French student in a new country, I needed some tips to start my new life. Fortunately, I could count on the members of Up Hellas who were always willing to help with good advice on where to shop, what to visit, and where to eat. They were really nice people who supported me from the beginning.
Coming from a French business school, I didn't know anyone at first, but in just a few days, I was drinking coffee with some of my colleagues. The atmosphere in this company is really appreciable, and the working conditions are different from anything I have experienced before. Breakfast is provided for the whole company every morning, the premises are brand new, and the offices are well distributed.
Now, let's talk about the work.
I came with the wish to discover all the tasks in a company, and I can say that my wishes have been fulfilled. From writing articles to making reimbursements and participating in app development projects, I have had the opportunity to try my hand at many different tasks.
The way Up Hellas works is really interesting in terms of productivity and working conditions. Having had the opportunity to work for the Up Group in France, I can say that it is really different. While the Groupe Up is more "old school" with imposed working hours and exact times for meals, Up Hellas is much more open on these subjects, with more freedom of time and a free coffee machine available to everyone.
I think this is a good inspiration for any company that wants to give as much importance to its employees as it does to its results.
